Mr. Sumaila Mesuna is the Chairman of Nenser Petroleum, which he founded in January 2020. He began working in the downstream oil and gas sector in 2002, at Tropic Oil Limited. After this, Sumaila served as a Station Supervisor for the then Mobil Ghana Service Station in Tamale, a position he held until he became the Operations Manager for Deliman & Company Limited in 2004.

In 2005, he became the Regional Manager and Liaison Officer in charge of the Northern Region for Deliman & Company, and in June the same year, he registered his own business, Naagamni Oil Ghana Limited (NGL). Working through Naagamni, Sumaila became a Dealer for the retail of petroleum products in Northern Ghana for two major brands in the industry, Oando Ghana Limited and SO Energy.

In 2009, as a Dealer, Naagamni was adjudged the best Reseller with Oando Ghana Limited. In 2010, Naagamni Ghana Limited was licensed as an Oil Marketing Company (OMC) and over the decade, it has developed into a top OMC that employs over five hundred people, owns multiple service stations and a fleet of tankers, and has gone into partnership with various Dealers in the industry to meet their needs for better supply of products.

Mr. Mesuna has a vast knowledge of the downstream oil and gas sector and possesses strong managerial and financial management competencies. In 2020, he launched Nenser Petroleum to extract more gains from the value chain so as to more effectively meet customers’ needs. Today, Sumaila is the Executive Director of both Naagamni Ghana Limited and Nenser Petroleum Limited.
